They have a high meat content, which aligns with cats' carnivorous nature and their tendency to obtain most of their water intake from food. Compared to dry cat food, the wet food can provide cats with more water to help fulfill their daily hydration needs. This makes it suitable as a main food source and also relatively easy for pet owners to prepare as a wet meal.
